1.Stage One (Initial contact)
When you first contact Andrea to discuss your wedding dress, she will enquire what you would ideally like to have and the date of your wedding. This is to ensure that she is able to allocate space in her busy schedule to give you her highest levels of personal attention and commitment. She will then arrange an initial one-to-one consultation with you at her design studio in the delightful market town of Buckingham.
2.Stage Two (First client consultation) At your initial consultation with Andrea, she will have a more in-depth conversation to find out from you exactly what you want and what you would like your wedding gown to look like. More specifically, she will explore the style and silhouette that you prefer, the theme and colour scheme for your wedding, and the fabric and trimmings you would like to have to enable her to begin the process of sketching out some ideas for your consideration. In addition, Andrea will enquire about the venue for your wedding and the time of year (and season if outside the UK). She will then create a variety of design sketches during the consultation to assess your responses before firming up on a preferred option that you feel and agree matches your requirements perfectly.
3. Stage Three (Providing the quotation) Andrea will prepare a written quotation for the design of your wedding gown following your consultation. She will leave it with you to allow you sufficient time to consider it more fully. However, she is always available to discuss any issues arising from it and answer any questions you may still have. After all, whilst choosing a wedding gown is difficult enough, selecting a bridalwear designer whom you can trust and build a professional but intimate relationship with is another consideration entirely. Andrea therefore wants you to be perfectly comfortable both with her and her proposed designs before you decide to ask her to create your wedding gown.
4. Stage Four (Confirming your requirements) Now you are ready to confirm with Andrea that you would like her to create your very special wedding gown. When you have done so, Andrea will arrange to meet with you to review the terms of the contract, check that you are happy with them, and receive your initial deposit. She will also take the first set of measurements for your wedding dress.
The creation of your wedding gown has now begun …. 5. Stage Five (Constructing the pattern)The practical aspects of creating your wedding gown to be made exclusively to your requirements have begun. Andrea will construct a pattern based on your exact measurements and design theme before she moves onto the next stage of your wedding gown's manufacturing process.
6. Stage Six (The Fittings) It is at this stage in the creative process that you start to see your new wedding dress taking shape. To ensure that it matches your chosen design and fits perfectly on your big day, Andrea allows for up to five individual fittings. These fittings cover the period from producing an initial toile (mock-up of the dress) to the point when she will be ready to complete the process by adding the finishing touches, such as the hem, beading and other accessories. During this phase, Andrea will also discuss your requirements for additional accessories such as tiaras, veils, jewellery, bags, shoes and other bridal items to ensure that these will match your wedding gown perfectly on your big day.
7. Stage Seven (Creating your wedding gown in your chosen fabric) Well, we are nearly there. The development stages are now over, and Andrea is ready to create your wedding gown in your chosen fabric. Once this process is complete, she will arrange one final fitting with you to check that everything is perfect before she adds the final trimmings to make your wedding dress truly exclusive to you and ready for delivery before your wedding.
8. Stage Eight (Delivery and payment) The final stage. Once you are happy with the design of your wedding gown and your final fitting, Andrea will request payment of the balance of your order. On receipt of this, she will arrange with you where and when you want your wedding dress to be delivered. And then there is only more task for Andrea to do and that is to thank you once again for entrusting her with the responsibility of designing your wedding gown and helping to make your wedding day a beautiful and memorable experience.
